Your challenge

In this role, the emphasis is on sound and acoustics, but depending on your affinity and interest, you may also be involved in various aspects such as external safety, shadow flicker, or the visual impact on the landscape. For wind energy, you analyze possibilities and advise clients on the optimal placement and execution of their projects in the surroundings. Additionally, you contribute to the development of energy storage and hydrogen.

Using advanced software programs and modeling, you map out the environmental effects in detail. You actively contribute to the further development of necessary calculation tools, visualization methods, and communication tools. As a dedicated professional, you are capable of advising clients on new policy developments and regulations.

Your role

In this dynamic position, you collaborate with colleagues from all teams, being challenged to take on a wide range of tasks. Our flat organizational structure gives you the opportunity to discover where your strengths lie and to get to know the organization from the inside. You have an eye for detail, understand technical issues, and analyse them effortlessly in a complex field of diverse interests. Your passion lies in making environmental effects understandable using computer and calculation programs, striving for continuous optimization of calculations and research possibilities. From the start of a project to execution, you stay engaged.

Pondera welcomes candidates who…

  • Have a strong affinity with sustainable energy.
  • Have successfully completed a relevant environmental or technical education.
  • Have a minimum of 3-5 years of work experience.
  • Have experience with sound calculations and/or working in sound-sensitive environments.
  • Are familiar with tools such as Excel, Geomilieu, programming language Python, GIS software, and programs like Windpro.
  • Have experience in conducting environmental research and mapping effects on the environment.
  • Have knowledge of and show interest in Environmental Law.
  • Are capable of explaining complex matters understandably to both experts and non-experts, both within and outside Pondera.
  • Want to strengthen a growing company with their entrepreneurship and expertise.
  • Can communicate effectively in both Dutch and English (German is a plus), both verbally and in writing.
